Cincinnati 2-2 Atlanta: Orange and Blue pegged back in home draw

On Sunday, Cin and Atlanta were held to a 2-2 draw at Nippert Stadium. As the table looks today, Cin and Atlanta currently occupy 6th and 11th spots in the league, with 33 points and 29 points respectively after 34 matches.

Atlanta started strongly in the first half, when Almada found the net, 17 minutes in. However, they didn’t maintain the lead for long though, an equalizer from Vázquez at the 29 minute mark, brought Cin level. However they weren’t finished yet and Brenner made it 2-1 just before halftime, ending the first half 2-1.

Atlanta took the initiative in the second half, thanks to a goal from Gutman at the 83 minute mark. The final result, Cin 2, Atlanta 2.

Substitutions for Cin included Blackett, John Nelson and Badji for Matt Miazga, Barreal and Cameron, repectively. Atlanta brought on Josef Martinez, Lennon, Mosquera, Dwyer and McFadden, to replace Cisneros, Hernández, Moreno, Caleb Wiley and Gutman.

There were bookings for Barreal, Matt Miazga and Blackett from Cin, and Caleb Wiley, for Atlanta.
