Charlotte 2-1 Red Bulls: The Minted extend home winning form by beating Red Bulls

Red Bulls on away loss to Charlotte on Saturday. After today’s result, Charlotte are currently 6th with 19 points from 20 matches, while Red Bulls sit in 3rd, with 23 points from 20.

Charlotte continued to pile on the pressure in the second and were rewarded, when Jones found the net just before the final whistle. The match ended 2-0 to Charlotte.

Substitutions for Charlotte included Sergio Ruiz, Lindsey, Sobocinski and Jones for Ortiz, Afful, Gaines and Bender, repectively. Red Bulls brought on Fletcher, Harper, Clark and Barlow, to replace Fernandez, Morgan, Klimala and John Tolkin.

There were bookings for Afful and Ortiz from Charlotte. For Red Bulls, Klimala, Yearwood and Clark saw yellow.

Charlotte will play their next fixture away against Columbus Crew, while Red Bulls will face Toronto FC at home.
