Atlanta 1 – Orlando 1: Victory elusive at Mercedes-Benz Stadium for both sides

Atlanta were held to 1-1 draw by Orlando down on Sunday at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. After today’s result, Atlanta are in 11th place, with 24 points from 29 matches, while Orlando sit in 5th, with 30 points from 29.

Orlando found the net first, when Pereyra gave The Lions the lead at the 10 minute mark. The score at half time was 1-0.

Atlanta took the lead in the second half, with a goal from Purata, 71 minutes in, leaving the final score at 1-1.

Substitutions for Atlanta included Josef Martinez, Almada and Dwyer for McFadden, Amar Sejdic and Cisneros, repectively. Orlando brought on Akindele, Michel, Perea, Antônio Carlos and Pato, to replace Kara, Mulraney, Smith, Torres and Pereyra.

There were bookings for Amar Sejdic, McFadden and Luiz Araujo from Atlanta. For Orlando, Júnior Urso, Pereyra, Michel and Ruan saw yellow.
