Lille 2-2 Rennes: Rennes take 4th place Ligue 1 finish with a draw at Lille

Lille and Rennes ended their participation in the competition with a draw 2-2. This left, Lille are in 10th place on the table and has 55 points while Rennes sit in 4th with 66 points after 38 matches.

Lille found the net first, thanks to Tim Weah giving Les Dogues the lead at the 11 minute mark. However, their celebrations were kept brief, as Benjamin Bourigeaud equalised for The Rennais just before half-time. The first half ended 1-1.

Lille took the initiative in the second half, with Tim Weah finding the net again after 88 minutes. In the end though, their lead was short lived, as Sehrou Guirassy equalised for Rennes just before the final whistle, leaving the final score at 2-2.

For Lille, Amadou Mvom Onana, Angel Gomes, Gabriel Gudmundsson and Edon Zhegrova, came on for Benjamin Andre, Burak Yilmaz, Jonathan Bamba and Jonathan David. Rennes brought on Sehrou Guirassy, Lorenz Assignon, Jeremy Doku, Lesley Ugochukwu and Jonas Martin for Gaetan Laborde, Benjamin Bourigeaud, Martin Terrier, Flavien Tait and Warmed Omari.

There were bookings for Benjamin Andre and Renato Sanches from Lille, and Adrien Truffert and Warmed Omari, for Rennes.
