Angers 4 – Bordeaux 1: Le SCO blaze past Les Girondins at the Stade Raymond Kopa

Angers SCO on a 4-1 win against Bordeaux on Sunday at the Stade Raymond Kopa. With each team arriving on the back of a league defeat, they were both keen to pick up points. Angers were looking to get back their winning ways after losing their last game 2-0 to AS Mónaco. Bordeaux, on the other hand, lost 1-0 in the last match they played against Nice. As things stand, Angers and Bordeaux currently occupy 14th and 20th spots in the table, with 38 points and 27 points respectively after 36 matches.

Le SCO started strong and were rewarded for their efforts, with an early goal from Mohamed-Ali Cho in the 5th minute. Angers then scored once more and increased their advantage thanks to a goal from Batista Mendy at the 36 minute mark, finishing the first half 2-0.

Les Girondins took the lead in the second half, with a goal from Sekou Mara, 60 minutes in. However, Angers increased their lead with a Stephane Bahoken goal in the 62nd minute to make it 3-1. They then scored again, increasing their advantage thanks to a goal from Mathias Pereira Lage just before the final whistle with a final score of 4-1.

For Angers, Marin Jakolis, Thomas Mangani, Azzedine Ounahi, Abdoulaye Bamba and Noah Fatar, came on for Mohamed-Ali Cho, Batista Mendy, Stephane Bahoken, Mathias Pereira Lage and Souleyman Doumbia. Bordeaux brought on Hwang Ui-Jo, Enock Kwateng, Sekou Mara, Yacine Adli and Dilane Bakwa for Remi Oudin, Marcelo, Gideon Mensah, Jean Onana and Mbaye Niang.

There were bookings for Angelo Fulgini from Angers, and Josuha Guilavogui, Anel Ahmedhodzic, Sekou Mara, Javairo Dilrosun and Yacine Adli, for Bordeaux.

Angers will next play FC Metz away, with Bordeaux facing FC Lorient at home.
