Lincoln City 1 – SWFC 1: Plenty of goals but no winner at Sincil Bank

Lincoln City were helde ach other to a 1-1 draw by SWFC on Saturday at Sincil Bank. Both teams arrived in good form, having secured victories in their previous matches. Lincoln City were keen to hang onto their position at the top of the table and extend their winning run after winning last match whilst SWFC were hoping to continue their winning streak after back-to-back victories against Cambridge Utd and Cheltenham Town. Lincoln City and SWFC currently occupy 12th and 3rd spots in the league, with 18 points and 30 points respectively after 15 matches.

SWFC started strong and were rewarded for their efforts, thanks to a goal from Lee Gregory early in the first half. However, their lead was short-lived, as Daniel Mandroiu equalised for Lincoln City just before half-time, which saw the first half end 1-1. Both teams unable to deliver anything further, the score remained at 1-1 at full time.

There were bookings for Matty Virtue and Daniel Mandroiu from Lincoln City. For SWFC, Mark McGuinness and George Byers saw yellow.

Lincoln City will play their next fixture away against Barnsley, while SWFC will face Bristol Rovers at home.
