Lincoln City 1-1 Accrington Stanley: Points shared at Sincil Bank after draw

Lincoln City were helde ach other to a 1-1 draw by Accrington Stanley on Tuesday at Sincil Bank. Both sides came from defeats in their previous league games. Lincoln City were looking to get back to winning ways after losing 1-0 to Port Vale in their previous fixture. Accrington Stanley were beaten 3-0 in their previous match against Fleetwood Town. Lincoln City are 13th with 22 points from 8 matches, while Accrington Stanley sit in 20th, with 17 points from 8.

After an uneventful first half, Lincoln City took the initiative in the second half, when Jack Diamond gave them the lead, 60 minutes in. In the end though, their celebrations were kept brief, as Harvey Rodgers equalised for Accrington Stanley just before the full time, leaving the final score at 1-1.

Substitutions for Lincoln City included Jordan Wright and Jordan Garrick for Carl Rushworth and Ben House, respectively. Accrington Stanley brought on Dan Martin, Rosaire Longelo and Seamus Conneely, to replace Liam Coyle, Doug Tharme and Tommy Leigh.

There were bookings for Matty Virtue, Ben House and Regan Poole from Lincoln City, and Mitchell Clarke, Doug Tharme, Liam Coyle and Rosaire Longelo, for Accrington Stanley.
