Charlton Athletic 1-0 Derby: Rams come up short at The Valley

Charlton Athletic eased past Derby County in a 1-0 victory on Saturday at The Valley. Charlton Athletic were looking for a victory following a disappointing 2-2 draw with Accrington Stanley in their previous game while Derby were looking to extend their winning run after a 1-0 victory against Oxford United. As the table looks today, Charlton Athletic are in 6th place in the table and have 4 points while Derby sit in 16th with 3 points after 2 matches.

After an uneventful first half, Charlton Athletic piled on the pressure in the second and were rewarded, when Corey Blackett-Taylor gave Charlton Athletic the lead at the 62 minute mark. The match ended 1-0 to Charlton Athletic.
