Valencia 2-2 Elche: Home advantage cancelled out by visitors

Valencia were helde ach other to a 2-2 draw by Elche on Saturday at the Mestalla. Valencia were looking to continue their good run after winning last match. Elche had secured a point against Mallorca in their previous match. Valencia and Elche sit 7th, (14 points) and 20th, (3 points), in the table respectively, after 9 matches.

ilicitano found the net first, with a goal from Pere Milla in the 29th minute. However, their lead was short-lived, as an equalizer from Edinson Cavani in the 41st minute, brought Valencia level. The Bats then scored again and turned the match thanks to a 2nd effort from Edinson Cavani just before half-time to see out the first half 2-1.

Elche took the initiative in the second half, when Pere Milla found the net once more, at 65 minutes. The final result, Valencia 2, Elche 2.

Substitutions for Valencia included Hugo Duro, Moriba Ilaix, Lato Toni, Fran Perez and Jesus Vazquez for Edinson Cavani, Yunus Musah, Andre Almeida, Justin Kluivert and Jose Luis Gaya, respectively. Elche brought on Diego Gonzalez, Ezequiel Ponce, Nicolas Ezequiel Fernandez Mercau, Gonzalo Verdu and Domingos Quina, to replace Pedro Bigas, Josan, Alex Collado, Enzo Roco and Pere Milla.

There were bookings for Giorgi Mamardashvili, Eray Comert and Yunus Musah from Valencia, and Helibelton Palacios, Josan, Nicolas Ezequiel Fernandez Mercau, Pere Milla, Edgar Badía and Tete Morente, for Elche.

Valencia will next play Seville away, with Elche facing R Madrid at home.
