Seville 2 – RMA 3: Visitors deliver victory against Los Nervionenses

R Madrid eased past Seville in a 3-2 victory on Sunday at the Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan. Both Seville and RMA arrived on the back of wins. Seville were looking to pick up points, following a 4-2 victory against Granada whilst RMA were hoping to increase their winning streak after back-to-back victories against Getafe and Celta Vigo. As the table looks today, Seville are in 3rd place on the table and has 60 points while RMA sit in 1st with 72 points after 32 matches.

Los Nervionenses started strong and were rewarded for their efforts, thanks to a goal from Ivan Rakitic, 21 minutes in. However they weren’t finished yet and Erik Lamela made it 2-0, 25 minutes in, finishing the first half 2-0.

Los Blancos fought back, with an early goal from Rodrygo in the 50th minute. The momentum was now with RMA, who then scored again through a goal from Nacho, at 82 minutes to establish a 2-2. RMA then scored once more and turned the match thanks to a goal from Karim Benzema just before the final whistle to make it 3-2.

For Seville, Rafa Mir, Oliver Torres, Nemanja Gudelj, Ludwig Augustinsson and Lucas Ocampos, came on for Anthony Martial, Papu Gomez, Marcos Acuna, Jesus Corona and Erik Lamela. RMA brought on Rodrygo, Marco Asensio, Nacho and Mariano Diaz, to replace Eduardo Camavinga, Luka Modric, Lucas Vazquez and Karim Benzema.

There were bookings for Anthony Martial, Diego Carlos and Oliver Torres from Seville. For RMA, Eduardo Camavinga, Nacho and Mariano Diaz saw yellow.

Next up, Seville are away to Levante, whilst RMA will travel to face Osasuna.
