Sevilla 1-0 Athletic Bilbao: Los Nervionenses take Top 4 finish in La Liga

Seville secures a 1-0 victory against Athletic Bilbao at the Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan on Sunday. Seville wanted to improve their league standing after a 1-1 draw against Atletico Madrid. Athletic Bilbao, on the other hand, were coming from a 2-0 win against Osasuna. This left, Seville and Athletic Bilbao sit 4th (70 points) and 8th (55 points) in the table respectively, after a total of 38 matches.

After an un-eventful first half, Seville applied pressure in the second and were rewarded, thanks to a goal from Rafa Mir at the 68 minute mark and seeing the game end 1-0.

For Seville, Karim Rekik, Rafa Mir, Papu Gomez, Lucas Ocampos and Ivan Rakitic, came on for Diego Carlos, Youssef En-Nesyri, Erik Lamela, Oliver Torres and Jesus Corona. Athletic Bilbao brought on Dani Garcia, Oier Zarraga, Inigo Lekue, Asier Villalibre and Nicolas Serrano, to replace Mikel Vesga, Raul Garcia, Unai Vencedor, Oscar De Marcos and Alex Berenguer.

There were bookings for Joan Jordan, Marcos Acuna and Papu Gomez from Seville. For Athletic Bilbao, Raul Garcia, Yuri Berchiche and Dani Vivian saw yellow.
