RMA 6 – Levante 0: Los Blancos secure all 3 points at Santiago Bernabeu

R Madrid’s 6-0 win over Levante on Thursday, was hard fought at Santiago Bernabeu. RMA were hoping to get something from this game after losing their last game 1-0 to Atletico Madrid. Levante, on the other hand, were looking to extend their winning run after a 2-1 victory against Real Sociedad. As the table looks today, RMA are in 1st place, with 84 points from 36 matches, while Levante sit in 20th, with 29 points from 36.

Los Blancos didn’t take long to get on the score-sheet, with Ferland Mendy opening the rout, at 13 minutes. The momentum was now with RMA, who then scored again through a goal from Karim Benzema in the 19th minute to establish a 2-0. RMA looked to have the game under control when they scored again and increased their lead, thanks to a goal from Rodrygo in the 34th minute to establish a 3-0. However they weren’t finished yet and Vinicius Junior made it 4-0 just before half-time. The score at half time was 4-0.

Los Blancos continued to pile on the pressure in the second and were rewarded, with Vinicius Junior finding the net again, at 68 minutes. They then scored again, increasing their advantage thanks to a hat trick effort from Vinicius Junior at the 83 minute mark with a final score of 6-0.

For RMA, Mariano Diaz, Luka Jovic, Toni Kroos, Peter Gonzalez and Mario Gila, came on for Rodrygo, Karim Benzema, Luka Modric, Federico Valverde and Nacho. Levante brought on Enis Bardhi, Jose Campana, Alejandro Cantero, Roger Marti and Ruben Vezo, to replace Nemanja Radoja, Martin Caceres, Gonzalo Melero, Dani Gomez and Rober Pier.

There were bookings for Eduardo Camavinga and Luka Modric from RMA. For Levante, Roger Marti saw yellow.

RMA will next play Cádiz away, with Levante facing Alaves at home.
