RMA 2 – Getafe 0: Los Blancos secure 3 points at home against Deep Blues

Getafe on away loss to RMA at Santiago Bernabeu on Saturday. Both teams arrived in good form, having secured victories in their previous matches. RMA were looking to pick up points, following a 2-1 victory against Celta Vigo. Getafe had been hopeful of extending their winning run, after a 1-0 victory against Mallorca. As the table looks today, RMA and Getafe sit 1st, (72 points) and 14th, (32 points), in the league respectively, after 31 matches.

Los Blancos found the net first, thanks to a goal from Casemiro at the 38 minute mark and managed to see out the first half 1-0.

RMA continued to pile on the pressure in the second and were rewarded, with a goal from Lucas Vazquez at the 68 minute mark, leaving the final score at 2-0.

For RMA, Gareth Bale, Dani Ceballos, Marco Asensio and Nacho, came on for Karim Benzema, Casemiro, Vinicius Junior and David Alaba. Getafe brought on Sandro Ramirez, Oscar, Florentino Luis, Erick Cabaco and Okay Yokuslu, to replace Borja Mayoral, Carles Alena, Gonzalo Villar, Jorge Cuenca and Nemanja Maksimovic.

There were bookings for Casemiro and Federico Valverde from RMA. For Getafe, Mathias Olivera and Djene saw yellow.

RMA will next travel to Seville, while Getafe will face Villarreal at home.
