Osasuna 2-1 Sevilla: Los Rojillos upset the odds at home against Los Nervionenses

Seville lost their first match in the new LaLiga campaign against Osasuna. Today’s result, Osasuna are currently 1st with 3 points from 1 match, while Seville sit in 20th, with 0 points from 1.

Los Rojillos started the match well, when Ezequiel Avila gave Osasuna the lead in the 9th minute. However, their lead was short lived, as Rafa Mir equalised for Los Nervionenses at the 11 minute mark. The score at half time was 1-1.

Osasuna rallied after this and were rewarded, when Aimar Oroz gave Los Rojillos the lead, at 74 minutes, leaving the final score at 2-1.

Substitutions for Osasuna included Nacho Vidal, Darko Brasanac, Manu Sanchez, Pablo Ibanez and Kike Garcia for Kike Barja, Ruben Pena, Unai Garcia, Aimar Oroz and Ezequiel Avila, repectively. Seville brought on Erik Lamela, Youssef En-Nesyri, Alex Telles, Ivan Rakitic and Ivan Romero de Avila Araque for Jesus Corona, Rafa Mir, Lucas Ocampos, Thomas Delaney and Papu Gomez.

There were bookings for David Garcia, Unai Garcia, Ezequiel Avila, Sergio Herrera and Moi Gomez from Osasuna. For Seville, Papu Gomez, Ivan Rakitic, Fernando and Ivan Romero de Avila Araque saw yellow.

In the second round of action in the LaLiga, both Seville and Osasuna will play at home against Real Valladolid and Cádiz respectively.
