R Madrid snatched all three points from Osasuna in a 3-1 victory on Wednesday, at the Estadio El Sadar. Both Osasuna and RMA arrived on the back of wins. Osasuna were looking to continue their run after winning their previous two games in the league. The most recent was against the Valencia away (2-1), the other to Alaves at home (1-0). RMA were hoping to increase their winning streak after back-to-back victories against Seville and Getafe. As the table looks today, Osasuna and RMA currently occupy 9th and 1st spots in the table, with 44 points and 78 points respectively after 33 matches.

Los Blancos dominated the first half, thanks to David Alaba finding the net in the 12th minute. However, they were unable to maintain their lead, Ante Budimir managed to equalize and take the sides off in the 13th minute at 1-1. However, RMA just before half-time found the back of the net following a Marco Asensio goal, finalising the first half 1-2.

RMA continued to pile on the pressure in the second and were rewarded, with Lucas Vazquez finding the net just before the final whistle, leaving the final score at 3-1.

For Osasuna, Manu Sanchez, Kike Barja, Oier, Roberto Torres and Barbero, came on for Ruben Garcia, Jose Angel, Javi Martinez, Darko Brasanac and Ezequiel Avila. RMA replaced David Alaba, Dani Ceballos, Eduardo Camavinga and Rodrygo for Dani Carvajal, Toni Kroos, Isco and Vinicius Junior.

There were bookings for Darko Brasanac from Osasuna, and Eduardo Camavinga, Eder Militao and Nacho, for RMA.

Osasuna will next play Elche away, with RMA facing Espanyol at home.
