Barca 1 – Seville 0: One goal makes difference for Los Blaugranas at home

Barcelona beats Seville 1-0 on Sunday at the Nou Camp. Barca were looking to pick up points after winning their previous two matches against R Madrid away and Osasuna at home, by 4-0 and 4-0 respectively whilst Seville secured a point against Real Sociedad in their previous match. After today’s result, both teams are on 57 points and sit in 2nd and 4th places respectively after 30 matches.

After an un-eventful first half, Barca piled on the pressure in the second and were rewarded, thanks to a goal from Pedri at the 72 minute mark. When the final wisthle blew, the result was 1-0 to Barca.

For Barca, Gavi, Memphis Depay and Nicolas Gonzalez, came on for Frenkie De Jong, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Ousmane Dembele. Seville brought on Jesus Corona, Youssef En-Nesyri, Gonzalo Montiel, Rafa Mir and Ludwig Augustinsson, to replace Erik Lamela, Nemanja Gudelj, Jesus Navas, Anthony Martial and Karim Rekik.

There were bookings for Sergio Busquets, Ousmane Dembele and Gerard Pique from Barca, and Jesus Corona, Gonzalo Montiel and Lucas Ocampos, for Seville.

Barca will next travel to Levante, while Seville will face Granada at home.
