Razgrad Ludogorets’ 2-0 win over Helsinki on Thursday, was hard fought at Huvepharma Arena. With both teams drawing in their previous fixtures, they were each keen to pick up points. Ludogorets were looking for a victory following a 1-1 draw with Helsinki in their previous game. Helsinki were struggling for form following a draw in their last match. Ludogorets are now in 2nd place on the table and have 7 points while Helsinki sit in 4th with 1 point after 4 matches.

The first half of the match started well for Ludogorets, when Denny Gropper found the net in the 38th minute, finishing the first half 1-0.

Ludogorets once more applied the pressure in the second half and were rewarded, when Rick Lima found the net, at 64 minutes, leaving the final score at 2-0.

Substitutions for Ludogorets included Igor Thiago Nascimento Rodrigues, Pedrinho, Spas Delev and Nonato for Matias Tissera, Show, Bernard Tekpetey and Jakub Piotrowski, respectively. Helsinki replaced Matti Peltola, Terho, Nassim Boujellab, Atom and Anthony Olusanya with David Browne, Pyry Soiri, Santeri Vaananen, Lucas Lingman and Santeri Hostikka.

The referee booked Cicinho from Ludogorets. Helsinki had the worst of it though, with David Browne, Jukka Raitala, Terho and Perparim Hetemaj seeing yellow, and Jukka Raitala (2 yellow cards) then sent off with a red.

Ludogorets next face Real Betis while Helsinki are at home to Roma.
