Chelsea 3-0 Wolves: Armando Broja off the mark for the Blues in comfortable home win
Chelsea beat Wolverhampton Wanderers with a 3-0 victory on Saturday at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea were looking to continue their good run after winning their previous two games against Crystal Palace away and West Ham United at home, by 2-1 and 2-1 respectively. Wolves were beaten 2-0 in their previous match against West Ham United. Chelsea and Wolves currently occupy 4th and 18th spots in the league, with 16 points and 6 points respectively after 10 matches.
Chelsea didn’t take long to get on the score-sheet, when Kai Havertz opened the rout just before half-time
The Blues started the second half with renewed vigour, thanks to a goal from Christian Pulisic in the 54th minute. However they weren’t finished yet and Armando Broja made it 3-0 just before the full time to give a final score of 3-0.
Substitutions for Chelsea included Mateo Kovacic, Reece James, Armando Broja, Carney Chukwuemeka and Hakim Ziyech for Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Christian Pulisic, Mason Mount, Conor Gallagher and Kai Havertz, respectively. Wolves brought on Joe Hodge, Hee-chan Hwang, Rayan Ait-Nouri and Chem Campbell, to replace Goncalo Guedes, Diego Costa, Jonny Castro and Adama Traore.
The referee booked Cesar Azpilicueta and Jorginho for Chelsea.
Chelsea will next play Aston Villa away, with Wolves facing Nottingham Forest at home.
