Red Star Belgrade 0 – Monaco 1: Visitors secure points with win at the Rajko Mitic Stadium

AS Mónaco made a fine start in the new Europa League Group Stage season with victory against Red Star Belgrade. Today’s result, Red Star Belgrade are currently 4th with 0 points from 1 match, while Monaco sit in 1st, with 3 points from 1.

After an uneventful first half, Monaco continued to pile on the pressure in the second period and were rewarded, with a goal from Breel Embolo, 74 minutes in. The match ended with a 1-0 victory for the visitors.

Substitutions for Red Star Belgrade included Ben, Veljko Nikolic, Kalifa Coulibaly and Stefan Mitrovic for Aleksandar Pesic, Slavoljub Srnic, Aleksandar Katai and Sekou Sanogo, respectively.
