Univ de Chile on Sunday lost to Ñublense on a home defeat at Nacional. With both teams drawing in their previous fixtures, they were keen to pick up points. Univ de Chile arrived with the intention of increasing their league score following a 1-1 draw with Antofagasta in their previous game. Ñublense, on the other hand, secured a point against Unión La Calera in their previous match. As things stand, Univ de Chile and Ñublense sit 10th, (21 points) and 2nd, (30 points), in the league respectively, after 18 matches.

After an uneventful first half, Ñublense continued to pile on the pressure in the second and were rewarded, when Patricio Rubio found the net in the 60th minute, leaving the final score at 1-0.

As for substitutions, for Univ de Chile, Lucas Assadi, Pablo Aranguiz and Jeisson Vargas, came on for Junior Fernandes, Pedro Ojeda and Mauricio Morales, Ñublense brought on Ivan Rozas, Matias Moya and Nicolas Mancilla to replace Fernando Cordero, Alexander Aravena and Nicolas Guerra.

The referee booked Israel Poblete and Mauricio Morales from Univ de Chile. Ñublense had the worst of it though, with Rafael Caroca and Bernardo Cerezo seeing yellow, and Bernardo Cerezo (2 yellow cards) then sent off with a red.

Univ de Chile will next travel to O’Higgins, while Ñublense will face Cobresal at home.
