Wigan Athletic 1-1 Bristol City: Robins denied a first win as Wigan fight back

Wigan Athletic were held to 1-1 draw by Bristol down on Saturday at Dw Stadium. Wigan Athletic arrived with the intention of increasing their league score after a 1-1 draw against Norwich City. Bristol, on the other hand, were beaten 3-2 in the previous match against Sunderland AFC. Following today’s result, Wigan Athletic are in 19th place, with 2 points from 3 matches, while Bristol sit in 24th, with 0 points from 3.

It was an impressive opening from Bristol, thanks to a goal from Andreas Weimann after only 6 minutes, ending the first half 1-0.

Wigan Athletic took the initiative in the second half, when Will Keane found the net at the 67 minute mark. The match ended 1-1.
