Swansea 2-0 Cardiff: The Bluebirds sunk by The Swans in derby clash

Swansea City beated Cardiff City 2-0 on Sunday at Liberty Stadium. Swansea were looking to continue their good run after winning last match. Cardiff were beaten 3-0 in their previous match against Queens Park Rangers. Swansea are currently 4th with 27 points from 17 matches, while Cardiff sit in 20th, with 18 points from 17.
It was an impressive opening from The Swans, thanks to a goal from Oliver Cooper, at 38 minutes. They then managed to see out the first half 1-0.
Swansea continued to pile on the pressure in the second period and were rewarded, with a goal from Michael Obafemi in the 67th minute so at full time it was 2-0 to Swansea.
Substitutions for Swansea included Olivier Ntcham, Armstrong Oko-Flex, Liam Cullen and Cameron Congreve for Luke Cundle, Matthew Sorinola, Michael Obafemi and Oliver Cooper, respectively. Cardiff replaced Sheyi Ojo, Andy Rinomhota and Callum O’Dowda for Mark Thomas Harris, Gavin Whyte and Kion Etete.
The referee booked Harry Darling, Michael Obafemi and Luke Cundle from Swansea. Cardiff had the worst of it though, with Callum O’Dowda, Joe Ralls and Mark Thomas Harris seeing yellow, and Callum Robinson then sent off with a red.
Swansea will next travel to Bristol City, while Cardiff will face Rotherham United at home.
