QPR 2-1 Reading: Rangers triumph at home against The Royals
Queens Park Rangers beat Reading with a 2-1 victory on Friday at Loftus Road Stadium. QPR were looking to pick up points after winning their previous two games against Sheffield United away and Bristol City away, by 1-0 and 2-1 respectively. Reading were struggling for form following a draw in their last match. QPR and Reading sit 3rd, (24 points) and 4th, (22 points), spots respectively, after 14 matches.
The Royals found the net first, when Andy Carroll gave them the lead, 30 minutes in. However, their celebrations were kept brief, as Lyndon Dykes equalised for QPR in the 33rd minute. The score at half time remained 1-1.
Rangers once more applied the pressure in the second period and were rewarded, when Lyndon Dykes found the net once more after 84 minutes, seing the match finish 2-1.
Substitutions for QPR included Osman Kakay, Rob Dickie, Luke Amos and Andre Dozzell for Ethan Laird, Sam Field, Tyler Roberts and Stefan Johansen, respectively. Reading brought on Junior Hoilett, Ovie Ejaria and Tom Ince, to replace Sam Hutchinson, Tyrese Fornah and Lucas Joao.
There were bookings for Tim Iroegbunam from QPR, and Sam Hutchinson, Andy Carroll and Tom Holmes, for Reading.
