Middlesbrough 1-1 Bristol City: Boro unable to break dead-lock with The Robins
On Saturday, Boro and Bristol played out a 1-1 draw at the Riverside Stadium. Boro were looking to pick up points, following a 3-1 victory against Hull City while Bristol had lost their previous match against Sheffield United. Boro are now in 20th place on the table and have 21 points while Bristol sit in 16th with 23 points after 20 matches.
The Robins started the first half well, when Andreas Weimann gave them the lead, at 10 minutes. However, their celebrations were kept brief, as Chuba Akpom equalised for Boro just before half-time to see out the first half 1-1. The second half ended with little further action at either end and goalless.
Substitutions for Boro included Matt Crooks for Marcus Forss, respectively. Bristol brought on Jay Dasilva, Sam Bell and Joe Low, to replace Antoine Semenyo, Tommy Conway and Andreas Weimann.
There were bookings for Ryan Giles, Riley McGree and Tommy Smith from Boro, and Joe Low and Zak Vyner, for Bristol.
Boro will next play Norwich City away, with Bristol facing Watford at home.
