Hull City 0-2 Birmingham: Tiger sinks into more trouble with home defeat

Hull City were defeated at home by Birmingham City at Mkm Stadium on Sunday. Hull City arrived at the match looking to pick up more points, following defeat to Huddersfield Town. Birmingham, meanwhile, were coming off the back of a 3-0 win against Bristol City. Hull City are now in 21st place, with 14 points from 15 matches, while Birmingham sit in 12th, with 19 points from 15.

Blues dominated the first half, when Troy Deeney gave them the lead, 14 minutes in. Birmingham then scored once more and increased their lead thanks to a goal from Juninho Bacuna just before half-time, concluding the first half 2-0. The second half ended with little further action at either end and goalless.

Substitutions for Hull City included Randell Williams, Will Jarvis, Ryan Woods, Xavier Simons and Ryan Longman for Jacob Greaves, Dogukan Sinik, Jean Seri, Dimitris Pelkas and Ozan Tufan, respectively. Birmingham brought on Jobe Bellingham, Lukas Jutkiewicz, Jordan Graham, George Hall and Jordan James for Tahith Chong, Troy Deeney, Juninho Bacuna, Hannibal Mejbri and Krystian Bielik.

There were bookings for Jacob Greaves, Dogukan Sinik, Randell Williams and Nathan Baxter from Hull City, and Maxime Colin, Krystian Bielik and Juninho Bacuna, for Birmingham.

Hull City will next travel to Blackpool, while Birmingham will face Burnley at home.
