Burnley were held to 1-1 draw by Hull City down on Tuesday at Turf Moor. Burnley were looking to get back their winning ways, following a previous defeat to Watford. Hull City were looking to extend their winning run after a 2-1 victory against Norwich City. Hull City dominated the first half, when Ozan Tufan gave Hull City the lead in the 25th minute. However, their celebrations were kept brief, as Jay Rodriguez equalised for Burnley at the 34 minute mark to see out the first half 1-1. With both teams struggling to produce anything meaningful in the second half though, the match ended 1-1.

Substitutions for Burnley included Manuel Benson, Nathan Tella and Ashley Barnes for Vitinho, Samuel Bastien and Jay Rodriguez, repectively. Hull City brought on Randell Williams, Mallik Wilks, Vaughn Covil and Andy Cannon, to replace Allahyar Sayyad, Benjamin Tetteh, Oscar Estupinan and Ozan Tufan.
