Blackpool 0-3 Middlesbrough: Boro deliver resounding win at Bloomfield Road

Middlesbrough ease to a comfortable 3-0 win at Bloomfield Road. Blackpool arrived at the match looking to pick up more points after losing 1-0 to Luton Town in their previous fixture whilst Boro had secured a point against Bristol City in their previous match. Blackpool are now in 21st place, with 22 points from 9 matches, while Boro sit in 15th, with 24 points from 9.

Boro started the match strongly, when Isaiah Jones opened the rout, 15 minutes in and managed to see out the first half 1-0.

The Boro fought back, with an early penalty goal from Marcus Forss in the 48th minute. However they weren’t finished yet and Chuba Akpom made it 3-0, 65 minutes in to give a final score of 3-0.

Substitutions for Blackpool included Rhys Williams, Shayne Lavery, CJ Hamilton and Callum Wright for James Husband, Gary Madine, Theodor Corbeanu and Charlie Patino, respectively. Boro brought on Matt Crooks, Rodrigo Muniz, Pharrell Willis, Matthew Hoppe and Alex Mowatt, to replace Marcus Forss, Chuba Akpom, Isaiah Jones, Riley McGree and Jonny Howson.

There were bookings for James Husband, Dominic Thompson, Chris Maxwell and Theodor Corbeanu from Blackpool. For Boro, Hayden Hackney saw yellow.
