Celtic 1-1 Shakhtar: Bhoys fail to hold on to lead at Celtic Park
On Tuesday, Celtic and Shakhtar played out a 1-1 draw at Celtic Park. Celtic were looking to get back to winning ways after losing their last match 2-0 to RB Leipzig. Shakhtar had secured a point against R Madrid in their previous match. Celtic are now in 4th place, with 2 points from 5 matches, while Shakhtar sit in 3rd, with 6 points from 5.
Celtic took the lead, with a goal from Giorgos Giakoumakis, 34 minutes in, finishing the first half 1-0.
Shakhtar took the initiative in the second half, when Mykhailo Mudryk found the net in the 58th minute, leaving the final score at 1-1.
Substitutions for Celtic included Daizen Maeda, Aaron Mooy, James Forrest and David Turnbull for Sead Haksabanovic, Kyogo Furuhashi, Liel Abada and Reo Hatate, respectively.
