Milan 4 – Salzburg 0: Rossoneri secure win at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza

FC Salzburg succumbed to an away defeat to AC Milan at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza on Wednesday. Milan were looking to continue their good run after winning last match while Salzburg had lost their previous match against Chelsea. Following this match, Milan are now in 2nd place on the table and have 10 points while Salzburg sit in 3rd with 6 points after 6 matches.

Rossoneri didn’t take long to get on the score-sheet, when Olivier Giroud opened the rout, 14 minutes in. Milan then scored once more and increased their lead thanks to a goal from Rade Krunic just before half-time, to take a 2-0 lead into half time.

Milan once more applied the pressure in the second period and were rewarded, when Olivier Giroud found the net once more in the 57th minute. Milan then netted again and increased their advantage thanks to a goal from Junior Messias just before the full time to make it 4-0.

Substitutions for Milan included Junior Messias, Tommaso Pobega, Charles De Ketelaere, Fode Toure and Matteo Gabbia for Rafael Leao, Ismael Bennacer, Rade Krunic, Theo Hernandez and Pierre Kalulu, respectively. Salzburg replaced Oumar Solet, Chukwubuike Adamu, Lucas Gourna-Douath, Noah Okafor and Maximilian Wober for Bernardo, Benjamin Sesko, Dijon Kameri, Sekou Koita and Andreas Ulmer.

The referee booked two players from Salzburg, Noah Okafor and Lucas Gourna-Douath.
