FC Salzburg succumbed to an away defeat to AC Milan at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza on Wednesday. Milan were looking to continue their good run after winning last match while Salzburg had lost their previous match against Chelsea. Rossoneri didn’t take long to get on the score-sheet, when Olivier Giroud opened the rout, 14 minutes in. Milan then scored once more and increased their lead thanks to a goal from Rade Krunic just before half-time, to take a 2-0 lead into half time.
Milan once more applied the pressure in the second period and were rewarded, when Olivier Giroud found the net once more in the 57th minute. Milan then netted again and increased their advantage thanks to a goal from Junior Messias just before the full time to make it 4-0.
