On Sunday, Bayern and Stuttgart were held to a 2-2 draw at the Allianz Arena. Bayern were looking to get back their winning ways, following a previous defeat to Mainz. Stuttgart are struggling for form following a draw in their last match. Following today’s result, Bayern and Stuttgart are 1st, (76 points) and 16th, (30 points), spots respectively, after 33 matches.

The Reds started the game well, with a goal from Tiago Tomas in the 8th minute. However, they were unable to maintain their lead, Serge Gnabry managed to equalize and take the sides off, 35 minutes in at 1-1. Bayern then netted once more and turned the match thanks to a goal from Thomas Muller just before half-time, finalising the first half 2-1.

Stuttgart started the second half with renewed vigour, thanks to Sasa Kalajdzic finding the net at the 52 minute mark, leaving the final score at 2-2.

For Bayern, Niklas Sule, Marc Roca, Corentin Tolisso, Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting and Marcel Sabitzer, came on for Nianzou Tanguy Kouassi, Leon Goretzka, Benjamin Pavard, Thomas Muller and Serge Gnabry. Stuttgart brought on Orel Mangala, Tanguy Coulibaly, Philipp Forster and Erik Thommy, to replace Omar Marmoush, Chris Fuhrich, Tiago Tomas and Sasa Kalajdzic.

The referee booked Nianzou Tanguy Kouassi and Alphonso Davies from Bayern and Kingsley Coman went off with a red card, while Stuttgart’s Atakan Karazor, Chris Fuhrich and Tanguy Coulibaly also received a yellow.
