Bragantino 0-1 Botafogo: Lone goal enough for Botafogo in road success

Botafogo snatched all three points from Red Bull Bragantino in a 1-0 victory on Tuesday, at Stadium Nabi Abi Chedid (nabizao). With each team arriving on the back of a league defeat, they were both keen to pick up points. Bragantino were hoping to get something from this game, following a previous defeat to Athletico Paranaense. Botafogo, on the other hand, were beaten 1-0 in the previous match against Fluminense. As the table looks today, Bragantino are in 14th place, with 18 points from 15 matches, while Botafogo sit in 9th, with 21 points from 15.

After a goalless first half, Botafogo continued to apply pressure in the second and were rewarded, when Vinicius Lopes gave Botafogo the lead, 64 minutes in. When the final wisthle blew, the result was 1-0 to Botafogo.

Substitutions for Bragantino included Ramires, Helinho, Carlos Eduardo, Miguel and Gabriel Novaes for Lucas Evangelista, Artur, Marcos Vinicios, Raul and Hyoran, repectively. Botafogo brought on Romildo, Daniel and Daniel Borges, to replace Kayque, Matheus Nascimento and Vinicius Lopes.

The referee booked six players. Gabriel Novaes from Bragantino, who saw yellow cards and Ramires, sent off with a red, as well as for Botafogo Matheus Nascimento, Vinicius Lopes, Renzo Saravia and Lucas Fernandes also seeing yellows.

Bragantino will next play Avai at home, with Botafogo facing Cuiaba away.
