Juve 1 – Paranaense 3: Visitors secure points with win at Alfredo Jaconi

Juve on home loss to Athletico Paranaense at Alfredo Jaconi on Thursday. Juve were looking forward to meeting again, following a previous defeat to Santos FC. Paranaense secured a point against Fortaleza EC in their previous match. As the table looks today, Juve and Paranaense currently occupy 19th and 6th spots in the league, with 10 points and 17 points respectively after 10 matches.

It was an impressive opening from Juve, when Jadson gave Juve the lead in the 38th minute. However, their lead was short lived, as Pablo Felipe equalised for Paranaense just before halftime, ending the first half 1-1.

Paranaense continued to apply pressure in the second and were rewarded, when David Terans found the net in the 63rd minute. They then scored again, increasing their advantage thanks to a goal from Vitor Bueno just before the final whistle to make it 3-1.

Substitutions for Juve included Capixaba, Oscar Ruiz, Romulo, Marlon and Ricardo Bueno for Chico, Isidro Pitta, Paulo Henrique, Jadson and Jean Irmer, repectively. Paranaense brought on Leo Cittadini, Erick, Marcelo Cirino, Matheus Felipe and Vitor Bueno, to replace Pedro Rocha, Tomas Cuello, Matheus Fernandes, Nicolas Hernandez and David Terans.

There were bookings for Jean Irmer and Romulo from Juve. For Paranaense, Pablo Felipe, Pedro Henrique, Bento and Abner saw yellow.

Juve will next play Atlético Goianense away, with Paranaense facing Corinthians at home.
