Goianense 1-2 Internacional: The Dragon fail to fend off in-form Inter

Internacional strolled past Atlético Goianense with a 2-1 win on Tuesday at Estadio Antonio Accioly. Goianense arrived at the match looking to pick up more points after losing their last match 2-0 to Coritiba. Internacional, meanwhile, were looking to extend their winning run after a 1-0 victory against Cuiaba. Goianense and Internacional sit 19th, (22 points) and 2nd, (49 points), spots respectively, after 27 matches.

The first half of the match started well for Internacional, when Pedro Henrique found the net, at 28 minutes. They then scored again, pulling level thanks to a 2nd effort from Pedro Henrique, 35 minutes in to secure a 2-0 win.

Goianense took the initiative in the second half, when Diego Churín found the net, at 64 minutes. The final result, Goianense 1, Internacional 2.

Substitutions for Goianense included Kelvin Giacobe Alves dos Santos, Marlon Freitas, Ricardinho and Leo Pereira for Shaylon, Radley Norberto Simiao Gomes, Arthur Henry and Airton, respectively. Internacional brought on Carlos De Pena, Liziero, Braian Romero, David and Rodrigo Moledo, to replace Alan Patrick, Edenilson, Alemao, Pedro Henrique and Mauricio.

There were bookings for Klaus, Radley Norberto Simiao Gomes and Ricardinho from Goianense, and Fabricio Bustos and Pedro Henrique, for Internacional.

Goianense will next travel to Corinthians, while Internacional will face Red Bull Bragantino at home.
