Talleres 0-2 Central Córdoba: Visitors secure points with late burst of goals

Central Córdoba beat Talleres Córdoba with a thumping 2-0 victory on Saturday at Estadio Mario Alberto Kempes. Talleres were looking for a victory after a 1-1 draw against Arsenal de Sarandi. Central Córdoba lost 2-0 in the last match they played against San Lorenzo. Following today’s result, Talleres and Central Córdoba currently occupy 23rd and 8th spots in the league, with 4 points and 7 points respectively after 5 matches.

After an uneventful first half, Central Córdoba continued to pile on the pressure in the second and were rewarded, with a goal from Claudio Riano, 84 minutes in. Central Córdoba then netted once more and increased their lead thanks to a 2nd effort from Claudio Riano just before the final whistle with a final score of 2-0.

Substitutions for Talleres included Enzo Diaz, Ulises Ortegoza, Michael Santos, Matías Catalan and Matias Esquivel for Rodrigo Garro, Hector Fertoli, Federico Girotti, Angelo Martino and Matias Godoy, repectively. Central Córdoba brought on Jose Gomez, Lucas Besozzi, Matias Ezequiel Di Benedetto, Hernan Lopez Munoz and Deian Veron, to replace Ivan Ramirez, Lautaro Montoya, Franco Sbuttoni, Alejandro Martinez and Francisco Gonzalez.

The referee booked Rafael Perez from Talleres and Christian Oliva went off with a red card, while Central Córdoba’s Jonathan Bay also received a yellow.

Talleres will next travel to CA Tigre, while Central Córdoba will face Argentinos Juniors at home.
