CA Tigre 2-1 Estudiantes: Tigre hold on for the win at Estadio Jose Dellagiovanna

Estudiantes La Plata on away loss to CA Tigre at Estadio Jose Dellagiovanna on Monday. CA Tigre were looking to get back their winning ways after losing 2-1 to Argentinos Juniors in their last match. Estudiantes had to settle for a draw 2-2 against Central Córdoba. As the table looks today, CA Tigre and Estudiantes sit 17th, (9 points) and 21st, (8 points), spots respectively, after 8 matches.

The first half of the match started well for CA Tigre, when Mateo Retegui gave CA Tigre the lead, at 17 minutes. CA Tigre then scored once more and increased their advantage thanks to a goal from Facundo Colidio just before halftime, ending the first half 2-0.

Estudiantes took the lead in the second half, when Pablo Piatti found the net, at 68 minutes, leaving the final score at 2-1.

Substitutions for CA Tigre included Alexis Castro, Martin Ortega, Pablo Magnin, Agustin Baldi and Blas Armoa for Cristian Zabala, Lucas Menossi, Mateo Retegui, Ezequiel Fernandez and Facundo Colidio, repectively. Estudiantes brought on Pablo Piatti, Benjamin Rollheiser, Angel Gonzalez and Mateo Pellegrino, to replace Eros Nazareno Mancuso, Leonardo Heredia, Franco Zapiola and Manuel Castro.

There were bookings for Mateo Retegui and Victor Cabrera from CA Tigre. For Estudiantes, Fernando Zuqui and Mateo Pellegrino saw yellow.

CA Tigre will next travel to Patronato, while Estudiantes will face Barracas Central at home.
